Kai Malicoat
Growing up in Provincetown Massachusetts, Kai worked closely with his grandfather—an artist, mason, and skilled craftsman—an experience that sparked his appreciation for fine craftsmanship and thoughtful design. In high school and college he worked for a construction company on Cape Cod called Sol Carpentry. After graduating from college with a Math degree, Kai moved to Sitka full time. These early years in Sitka were shaped by the fishing industry, where he built a strong work ethic and deep respect for the environment. Over time, Kai’s passions shifted from sea to land, leading him to establish his own construction business. This transition not only allowed his dedication to quality construction flourish, but also created a more sustainable and fulfilling balance between work, fatherhood, and family life.
